Question 1:
a) Find the greatest number that divides 45, 75 and 135 without leaving a remainder.
To find HCF,use any method, show complete steps. HCF of 45, 75 and 135 = 15
b) The sum of two numbers is 17,33,250. If one number is 9,45,635, find the other number.
Other number = 17,33,250 - 9,45,635 = 787615
C)Sunita had 2¾ m cloth. She gave 1⅔ m to Rehana. How much cloth is left with her?
2¾ – 1⅔ = 11/4 – 5/3 = (33 – 20)/12 = 13/12 = 1 1/12 m
Question 2
a) Arrange the following in ascending order:9,-11, 0, 10, 5, –6.
-11,–6, 0, 5, 9,10
b) Find 4729.28 – 2561.39
Arrange numbers correctly and subtract = 2167.89
c) Find the value of 175% of 640.
175% × 640 = (175/100) × 640 = 1120
Question 3
a). One truck can carry 725 rice bags. How many bags can be carried by 6,491 trucks?
  b)The product of two numbers is 432 and their LCM is 72. Find their HCF.
     c) Multiply 3 3/8 x 2 6/7 x 2/9
Statements required.  725 × 6491 = 4,70,11,475 bags.   
   
b)HCF = (Product ÷ LCM) = 432 ÷ 72 = 6. c) 27/8 x 20/7 x 2/9 = 2/3( show all steps )
Question 4 
a) Solve 4 2/9 ÷ 61/3                         b)Write integers that lie between –8 and 2.
a)'38/9 ÷ 19/3= 38/9 x 3/19= 2/3.         b)–7, –6, –5, –4, –3, –2, –1, 0, 1
c). Cost of 1 article = ₹62.45. Find cost of 448 such articles.
Cost of 448 articles=62.45 × 448 = ₹27,983.60( show multiplication)
Question 5
a) Solve (- 250) +. (-166)= - 416                       b). Out of 50 children, 40% are boys. Find the number of boys.
a) (- 250) +. (-166).      b) Write statements ,40% of 50 = 20 boys
c)The cost of 250 mobile sets = ₹41,25,000. Find the cost of one set.
Write statements ,41,25,000 ÷ 250 = ₹16500 per set.
Question 6:    
a)Ravi scored 64 out of 80 in Maths,75 out of 100 in English .Find in which subject his performance was better and by how much?                                                b) The product of two fractions 144/289. If one of the fraction is 16/17, find the other fraction.
a)Maths= 64/80  x100% = 80%, English = 75/100= 75%, Performance in Maths better by 5% .                                                  b) 144/289÷ 16/17= 144/289 x 17/16= 9/17

b). A car travels 352.8 km in 21.4 hours. How much distance in 1 hour?

a). Find LCM of 1320, 434, 260 and 390 by division method.

b) An auditorium has 900 seats. Out of which 540 were occupied. Find % of unoccupied seats.
Write statements , Unoccupied = 900 – 540 = 360. (360 ÷ 900) × 100 = 40%
