🌈 Rainbow Mind Map: Motion
- 🔴 Motion: Motion is the change in position of an object with respect to time.
- 🟠Rest & Motion are Relative: A passenger sitting inside a moving bus is at rest w.r.t. bus but in motion w.r.t. the ground.
- 🟡 Types of Motion:
- Translatory (rectilinear & curvilinear)
- Circular (fan blade)
- Oscillatory (swing)
- Periodic (simple pendulum)
- Non-periodic (car on road)
- Random (motion of insects) - 🟢 Uniform Motion: Object covers equal distances in equal intervals of time, e.g., a car moving on a straight highway at constant speed.
- 🔵 Non-uniform Motion: Object covers unequal distances in equal intervals of time, e.g., a car in city traffic.
- 🟣 Speed: Speed = Distance ÷ Time; it tells how fast an object moves. Average Speed = Total Distance ÷ Total Time.
- 🟪 Weight & Mass: Mass is constant everywhere. Weight = Mass × g (changes with gravity).
Think & Answer:
1. A car covers 60 km in 1 hour and 30 km in the next hour. Is its motion uniform or non-uniform?
2. If your mass is 45 kg, what will be your weight on Earth (g = 9.8 m/s²)?
