Example: You say, "Remind me to pack my notebook at 7 PM." Siri turns your voice into a reminder.
AlexaVoice assistant for smart devices
Alexa uses speech recognition and language understanding to follow spoken instructions. It may play music, answer questions, control compatible smart devices or create a timer.
Example: You say, "Set a timer for ten minutes." Alexa understands the task and starts the timer.
SwiggyFood discovery and delivery
Swiggy can use AI to suggest restaurants and dishes, estimate delivery time, predict demand and help match an order with a delivery partner. The estimate can change when traffic or weather changes.
Example: If it rains and roads become busy, the predicted delivery time may increase.
YouTubeVideo search and recommendations
YouTube uses recommendation systems to predict which videos may interest you. Signals can include what you search for, watch, skip, like or choose next. It also uses AI in areas such as captions and content moderation.
Example: After you watch several space videos, YouTube may recommend another video about planets.
Google MapsRoutes, traffic and travel time
Google Maps uses AI with map data, current road conditions and past traffic patterns to estimate travel time. It compares possible routes and can suggest a different route when traffic changes.
Example: A longer road may be faster if the shorter road has heavy traffic.
NetflixMovie and series recommendations
Netflix uses AI to organise and recommend shows and movies. It compares viewing signals and patterns from many users to predict what may suit a profile. Different profiles can therefore see different suggestions.
Example: Watching nature documentaries may lead to more science and wildlife recommendations.
