Weight
Weight is a force. This force acts vertically downwards. It has both magnitude and direction. The weight of a body is measured by a device called spring balance.
Weight and Mass are two different physical quantities we can define weight of a body as the force with which it is attracted towards the earth.
weight of a body is denoted by W
W=mg
Formula shows weight of a body depends on its mass and value of g (acceleration due to gravity). The weight of a body will be different at different places as the value of g is not constant.
