🌈 Rainbow Mindmap: Force and Pressure

Force
Force is a push or pull on an object that can cause motion, change shape, or alter the object’s state. It is a vector quantity measured in newton (N).
Types of Forces
Forces are classified as Contact (e.g., friction, muscular force) and Non-Contact (e.g., magnetic, gravitational, electrostatic).
Effects of Force
Force can move or stop objects, change direction, or deform them (change shape).
Measuring Force
Force is measured using a spring balance. SI unit is newton (N). Direction matters because it's a vector quantity.
Pressure
Pressure = Force ÷ Area. It describes how much force is applied over a specific area. SI unit is pascal (Pa).
Pressure in Solids
Pressure increases as contact area decreases. That's why sharp knives cut better than blunt ones.
Pressure in Liquids
Liquid pressure increases with depth and acts in all directions. Devices like manometers measure it.
Applications of Force & Pressure
Includes hydraulic brakes, syringes, dam design, suction pumps, and press machines that rely on pressure transmission or force application.
