📖 Story: Pizza Party at Riya’s Home
It was Riya's birthday, and she had invited 4 friends. Her mom brought a big round pizza, sliced into 8 equal pieces.
Each friend took one slice. “Riya,” asked her friend Neha, “how much of the pizza have we eaten?”
“Let me count!” said Riya. “1, 2, 3, 4, 5 slices taken. That means we’ve eaten 5 out of 8 pieces — or 5/8 of the pizza!”
“Wow! That’s a fraction,” said Neha. “A part of a whole!”
🔍 Let’s Understand Fractions
- A **fraction** shows a part of a whole.
- It has two parts: Numerator (top number) and Denominator (bottom number).
- Example: In 3/4, 3 is the numerator, 4 is the denominator.
- If a cake is divided into 6 equal parts and you eat 2, you’ve eaten 2/6 of the cake.
